Lumpy man is probably hiding somewhere to attack, best be aware of our surroundings in this village- ooo are those berries? Stuff them in mouth now

You stuff all the berries in your face. They taste incredibly sour and make your mouth water uncontrollably.

Tangentially related, but you are now morbidly eggnant and feel way less limber than before.

Mistakes may have been made.

The trapdoor probably reminds you of home, considering that's where the bad slaves tend to go

Aw shit, the kid ate it. Open the [cellar door] and see if there's a ladder or staircase inside. You might need to tie the rope to a sturdy rock or something to create an escape route otherwise.

The rope is very thick, heavy, and not that long. There is no practical way to carry it in your hands, so you equip it around your neck like a big scarf.

As for using it to climb down, you're not sure it could reach all the way down and you're not strong enough to lift any rocks that could keep it in place under your new weight.

Attempting instead to open the ground door it refuses to budge. It looks like an old piece of metal keeps various pieces of metal connected in a metallic tangle of worn rings that prevents the ground door from opening.
